The GRAU Standard
The unique GRAU knitwear quality begins with our choice of ultra-high quality Italian yarns made from responsibly sourced Superkid Mohair and Lana Merino Extrafine wool. The yarns are dyed in fantastic colors that do not fade or lose their glow. Our research, design and production methods are all guided by solid know-how, excellent craftsmanship, and a long heritage.
Craftsmanship
Everything is made in Nyhavn, Copenhagen. Our traditional hand-operated knitting machines allow us to work with a precision and sensitivity that gives GRAU knitwear its characteristic airy lightness and distinctive feel.
The process is slow and requires deliberate and consistent human expertise but the result is outstanding and the personal satisfaction gratifying
The special GRAU feel can not be replicated by industrial knitting machines.

GRAU knitwear is made from certified RMS-standard Mohair Superkid and Lana Merino Extrafine wool.
Responsible choices
Other fibres are made from responsibly sourced ICEA-certified recycled materials selected with the same attention to quality.
Made to endure
GRAU knitwear does not pill, and the colours retain their depth. Every creation can, when necessary, be washed on a regular wool programme.

Every design is produced in very limited numbers, while selected colour variations are created as unique single editions.
